Commercial Cleaning
Why deep clean?
There are many reasons to deep clean your premises. Not least because it makes sound commercial sense! Many people see cleaning as an overhead where it is better thought of as an investment.
You can invest in deep cleaning to make sure that your customers view your business favourably as a well run, tidy and clean operation. The perception of a clean and tidy business is that this will extend into all aspects of the businesses operations.
A dramatic, but very real, example of a fire caused by greasy ducting.
For food related businesses these perceptions are critical. Poor customer experience or even worse bad public relations can literally break a business overnight. Conversely extremely clean businesses gain favour with customers for repeat business. Word of mouth recommendations spread very quickly and this can work either positively or negatively for your reputation.
Industrial cleaning and deep cleaning prolongs equipment life and reduces maintenance or downtime costs.
If these are not positive enough reasonsh consider the legal and ultimately expensive costs of not deep cleaning!
Your premises could burn down resulting in loss of life, serious injury, loss of livelihood and certain litigation. Food poisoning or other health related issues as a consequence of inadequate hygiene can result in the same consequences.
Legislation directs that each individual responsible for a building or premises must evaluate the risk of fire, its likely causes and what to do to remove or minimise the potential threat. (Refer to Regulatory Reform Act 2006).
Heavy grease and fat deposits are a major fire hazard. They can accumulate out of sight in ducting and other locations.
Legislation also directs that employers / business managers must ensure that its employees and customers are working in and visiting a safe environment, 'due diligence' being the minimum performance requirement.
Poorly cleaned or uncleaned equipment and premises can pose serious health risks for all building users, both staff and visitors. Food poisoning can be extremely dangerous and even fatal. Businesses that neglect these risks and cause health issues such as food poisoning are dealt with very quickly and firmly by environmental health, trading standards and food standards authorities. You can of course avoid many such headaches and indeed reap the positive benefits through the implemention of a regular deep cleaning program.
